Kate Da Costa Achieves UEFA A License

Kate Da Costa Achieves UEFA A License

Simon Cullum17 May 2014 - 22:10

FA Licensed Tutor, Cambridge Girls' Centre of Excellence Coach and Soham Physio Kate Da Costa, has achieved the UEFA A License

becoming one of only 23 female coaches in the UK with this qualification.

Kate began her UEFA A course in 2009 at Wakefield Park. Her decision to tackle the 'A License' was made in order to further her knowledge and experiences gained as a UEFA B coach.
Kate accessed The FA Female Mentoring Scheme after failing her first assessment in 2012. She said the mentoring scheme was "a brilliant scheme offering valuable help and support to candidates between the end of the course and final assessment." Once comfortable with the topic, and having less pressure the second time round, Kate was reassessed at St Georges Park on 27th March 2014 where she achieved the UEFA A License qualification.
Kate said, "The A License offers a deeper understanding of the game and delves into how the opposition can affect the game, therefore the coach needs to be more adaptable to what can happen in the game. This is my biggest achievement so far and i'm obviously very proud."

Cambridgeshire FA would like to congratulate Kate, and we are delighted to have a female UEFA A License coach on our turf!
