The 25 year old attacker arrives at the Lane on dual-registration from National League South Brackley Town, and made his debut in the 1-1 home draw with Wroxham.

Shawn originally joined Soham on loan from Northampton Town during the 2008/09 season before signing for Rugby Town at the start of the following campaign having left the Cobblers. Richards return to the Lane at the start of the 2010/11 season before going onto have spells with Quorn, Loughborough Dynamo, Stamford, Rushall Olympic and AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
