Kings Lynn U18 4 v Soham Town U18 0 Soham ended their league season with the classic game of two halves.

Against the free scoring champions elect, Rangers opted for a cautious 5-4-1 formation and whilst the Linnets had the lions share of possession in the first half, they were restricted to just two clear chances, a far post header from a freekick which crashed into the side netting and a top class move down the left which created a one on one superbly saved by Jaimie Chamberlain. On the break Soham were always a threat but the game remained scoreless after 45 minutes. Clements put through by the excellent Riches slipped the ball past the keeper but his shot hit the post and rolled wide. Lynn wrapped the game up with a third well taken goal on the hour and in the last minute Chamberlain produced a magnificent save from a 20 yard freekick only to push the ball onto the bar with the rebound falling kindly for the hosts to get a fourth from a tap in. For those players age eligible for next year, this was a clear example of the standard required to win a floodlit league title. Sohams best performances were from keeper Chamberlain and midfielder Sam Riches Chamberlain, Fitchett, Lightfoot (Norton), Roberts, Davis, Riches, Smart (Carmen), Lynch, Sterna (Suttle), Clements, Stevens Unused: Mitchell
